About this image splitter
Image Splitter divides a single picture into numbered, original-resolution rectangular tiles for social grids, print layouts and other projects. Uneven edges are distributed across tiles rather than discarded.
How to split an image
- Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device.
- Select a 2×2 or 3×3 grid preset, or enter custom rows and columns. Check the cut-line preview.
- Click Split image, then download individual tiles or all numbered images together in a ZIP.
Features and output
Create grids up to 10 × 10 while preserving every source pixel and PNG/WebP transparency. Download individual tiles, selected tiles as a ZIP, or every tile as a ZIP, with row-and-column filenames.
Frequently asked questions
Does splitting cut off any pixels?
No. The image is partitioned using integer pixel boundaries. If the dimensions divide unevenly, tile sizes differ by at most one pixel.
Can I download one tile only?
Yes. Select the checkbox on any tile to download only those tiles as a ZIP, or use Download all ZIP for the complete set. Individual tile links remain available.
Are images uploaded to a server?
No. Image decoding, splitting and ZIP generation run in your browser. Files are not sent to ToolPaxa.
