About this tool

Crop removes the areas outside your chosen rectangle. It keeps the remaining region at its source pixel dimensions, without stretching it or enlarging it.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose supported images. The first preview opens automatically; switch images to edit their individual settings.
  2. Move or resize the crop region, enter pixel coordinates, or choose an aspect ratio. Apply the settings to other images when useful.
  3. Crop, inspect the results, then download selected images or continue directly to another compatible tool.

Features and output

Live region preview, exact pixel fields, aspect-ratio presets, per-image settings, batch application, selected-result downloads and compatible output reuse.

When this tool is useful

Remove unwanted borders, prepare a square avatar, focus a product image or choose a clean rectangular area for a document.

Frequently asked questions

How is cropping different from resizing?

Cropping removes image area outside a rectangle. Resizing changes the pixel dimensions of the retained image. Use Resize Image after cropping if you need a specific final size.

Can I use the same crop settings for different images?

Yes. Apply the current settings to the batch. A free crop uses proportional positions; an aspect-ratio preset is fitted to each source image. Review the results when source proportions differ.

Does cropping improve image quality?

No. Cropping chooses existing pixels and does not recover missing detail. Exporting JPEG or WebP can also introduce encoding changes; PNG retains transparency.

Which images can I use?

JPEG, PNG and WebP are supported. GIF, SVG, HEIC and raw camera files are not supported in this release. Check the decoded resolution limits as well as the file size.

Can I use the result in another tool?

Yes. Select the completed images and choose Crop, Rotate, Convert to JPG, Resize, Compress or Images to PDF. Compatible outputs are passed in the same tab without another upload. The destination’s limits still apply.

Privacy, compatibility and limits

Select up to 100 JPEG, PNG or WebP images: 50 MiB each and 500 MiB combined. Decoded inputs and outputs are limited to 32 megapixels; output sides must not exceed 8,192 pixels. Processing is sequential with a 256 MiB retained-output cap. ZIP parts contain up to 20 results or 64 MiB. Device memory can reduce practical capacity; these are selection ceilings, not a guarantee for every batch.

Images are processed in your browser without sending their contents to an application server. Originals are not overwritten. New exports can change metadata and colour profiles; animated PNG or WebP inputs become one frame. JPEG is lossy and replaces transparency with the chosen background. Download before closing or reloading the page. Clearing the list releases temporary previews and results.
