About this tool
Rotate changes orientation using quarter-turns. Horizontal and vertical flips mirror the image. The tool does not straighten images at arbitrary angles.
How to use this tool
- Choose supported images and select the image you want to preview.
- Choose a quarter-turn, horizontal flip or vertical flip. Adjust images individually or apply the current settings to the batch.
- Process the images, inspect orientation, then download selected results or continue with another tool.
Features and output
Quarter-turns, horizontal and vertical mirrors, orientation preview, per-image settings, batch application and selected-output reuse.
When this tool is useful
Correct sideways scans, turn an upside-down photo, mirror a design or prepare images before creating a PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Which rotation angles are available?
Choose no rotation, 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° counterclockwise. A 90° turn swaps the image’s width and height.
What is the difference between rotation and flipping?
Rotation turns the image. A horizontal flip mirrors left and right; a vertical flip mirrors top and bottom. Flips apply before the selected clockwise rotation.
Is JPEG rotation lossless?
This tool re-encodes the result, so JPEG rotation is not guaranteed lossless. Choose suitable output quality and inspect the downloaded image. Originals remain unchanged.
Which images can I use?
JPEG, PNG and WebP are supported. GIF, SVG, HEIC and raw camera files are not supported in this release. Check the decoded resolution limits as well as the file size.
Can I use the result in another tool?
Yes. Select the completed images and choose Crop, Rotate, Convert to JPG, Resize, Compress or Images to PDF. Compatible outputs are passed in the same tab without another upload. The destination’s limits still apply.
Privacy, compatibility and limits
Select up to 100 JPEG, PNG or WebP images: 50 MiB each and 500 MiB combined. Decoded inputs and outputs are limited to 32 megapixels; output sides must not exceed 8,192 pixels. Processing is sequential with a 256 MiB retained-output cap. ZIP parts contain up to 20 results or 64 MiB. Device memory can reduce practical capacity; these are selection ceilings, not a guarantee for every batch.
Images are processed in your browser without sending their contents to an application server. Originals are not overwritten. New exports can change metadata and colour profiles; animated PNG or WebP inputs become one frame. JPEG is lossy and replaces transparency with the chosen background. Download before closing or reloading the page. Clearing the list releases temporary previews and results.
