JPEG, PNG or WebP · Up to 100 files · 50 MB per file · 500 MB combined

Smaller files, with you in control.

Choose the balance.

Lower quality usually creates a smaller file, with some loss of detail. Compare the preview before downloading. Compression can sometimes produce a larger file; the tool shows the actual change.

Convert when it helps.

PNG images can be converted to JPEG or WebP. JPEG works well for photos; WebP can retain transparent backgrounds. Your originals are never overwritten.

About Image Compressor

Reduce the file size of photos and graphics by adjusting output quality and, when useful, maximum width. JPEG, PNG and WebP inputs can be exported as JPEG or WebP.

How to use Image Compressor

  1. Choose or drop your images.
  2. Select JPEG or WebP output, adjust quality and optionally set a maximum width.
  3. Process the images, compare the actual output sizes and download each file or the batch ZIP.

Features and output

Select up to 100 images for a desktop batch (50 MB per input, 500 MB combined). Images are processed sequentially, with cancellation, partial results and smaller ZIP parts. The 256 MB in-page output limit and device memory may require smaller jobs. Adjust quality from 10% to 100%; a maximum-width setting preserves proportions.

When this tool is useful

Prepare product photos for a website, reduce image attachments or make a batch of large camera photos easier to share. Check the appearance and final size before replacing originals.

Frequently asked questions

Will every output be smaller?

No. Already optimized images and high-quality output settings can produce larger files. Review the actual sizes shown and try a lower quality or smaller width.

Can I compress PNG without changing its format?

This tool accepts PNG but exports JPEG or WebP. Choose WebP when you need supported transparency; JPEG uses a white background.

Are images uploaded to a server?

Image processing happens in your browser. File contents are not uploaded for processing. Download your results before leaving or reloading the page.

Privacy, compatibility and limits

Selection limits are 100 images, 50 MB per file and 500 MB combined. Processing has a 32-megapixel input limit and 256 MB retained-output safety cap; canvas output is limited to 8192 pixels per side. ZIP downloads use up to 20 files or 64 MB per part; some outputs must be downloaded individually. Device memory may require smaller batches. Animated images are flattened to one frame.
