About Split PDF
Keep just the pages you need or separate a document into smaller PDFs. Choose one extracted file, several custom ranges, every page or equal-sized page chunks.
How to use Split PDF
- Choose one supported PDF and review its page count.
- Select a split method. Use 1-3,5 for one extracted PDF or 1-3;4-6 for separate range files.
- Split the document and download individual files or the ZIP. Select results to continue to Merge, or one result to continue to Split.
Features and output
Four split methods support selected pages, separate ranges, single-page files and equal chunks. Direct page copying retains existing text and graphics. Selected results can become another PDF tool’s input.
When this tool is useful
Extract an invoice from a bundle, divide a report into sections or keep only the pages required for an application. Check each output before sending it to someone else.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between commas and semicolons?
In selected-page mode, 1-3,5 creates one PDF with those pages in the entered order. In separate-range mode, 1-3;4-6 creates two files.
Can I split every page into its own PDF?
Yes. Choose the every-page method, subject to the limit of 100 output files. Download them individually or together as a ZIP.
Can I merge the results without selecting files again?
Yes. Select the results and use Continue to Merge. Continue to Split requires exactly one selected result. This session stays in the same tab.
